Idex Baltic operates three biomass boilers in Vilnius and two biomass boilers and one cogeneration plant in Kaunas. These facilities from renewable energy sources produce part of the heat for the residents of Vilnius and Kaunas cities. In addition, the cogeneration plant in Kaunas produces more than 30000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of green electricity.

All our heat is produced from biomass, which is prepared from chipped wood chips or forest residues. All facilities are equipped with smoke condensing economizers, that increases efficiency and reduces pollution.

Boilers were built from the capital accumulated and attracted by the developer. No European Union funds were requested and granted for their construction.
